Wide-screen is a huge bullshit statement. Sure it's not TRUE 16:9, but it's still wide-screen lenticular. Also, the 16 GB is the BASE LINE. And that's also SOLID STATE, meaning no crashed HDD problems. So, then you only have abut 5 things to compare it too vs a tiny screend shitty EEE pc. Ok, may I also remind you of something: FIRST. Here's a newflash, even turned sideways the iPad is not widescreen. It's much closer to 4:3 ratio, which you may remember as being the CRT monitor standard, as well as most TV's produced before 2000.
Just because a screen can be displayed wider than it is tall doesn't make it widescreen. The iPad screen is roughly 4:3 , the same as a 90's CRT monitor. A screen needs to be 16:10 minimum to be considered widescreen.
